Paul Weller has spoken out about the quality of his as-yet unreleased new material.
The Brit Award winner told London Lite that he and his backing band will showcase some new songs at their upcoming gig at the O2.
Weller said: "We play at least half the album. On the last tour, we played '111'. It wasn't like people were booing and walking out.
"We've got strings and a brass section, plus we've got some brand new tunes. There's this great one called 'Wake Up The Nation'.
"It won't be coming out 'till next year, but I wish it was f***ing coming out next week, man, 'cos it's right on the button."
He added that it was nice to get "feedback" about his music from younger groups like The Enemy.
