YepRoc To Release Paul Weller's 4th US Single, 'Dragonfly' On February 19th!

Paul Weller Official released the following news bulletin promoting Paul's USA Record Store Day release.


WELLER READIES US RECORD STORE DAY RELEASE

US fans, Weller is readying a very special release for this year's Record Store Day on April 20, 2013. 

To commemorate the event - which is held annually to support the humble local record emporium - Weller will release 'Sonik Kicks: The Singles Collection Box Set'. 

Featuring all four of the previously released 7” singles from 'Sonik Kicks' on colored vinyl and in their original sleeves, this box set also contains a fifth 7" on orange vinyl with two songs previously unreleased anywhere in the world: “That Dangerous Age (Live Acoustic)” and “Be Happy Children (Live Acoustic)”. These two tracks were recorded live in Weller’s Black Barn Studio. 

The box set will also contain a poster autographed by Paul Weller and comes in a limited edition run of just 600 copies.

Yep Roc Records is pleased to announce its Record Store Day 2013 releases. We will offer limited-edition vinyl for Paul Weller, Robyn Hitchcock, Josh Rouse and Tift Merritt. In addition, it will release a 12” single and DVD of the historic Yep Roc 15 Artist Recording session featuring nearly every act on the label from its 15-year anniversary music festival. All of Yep Roc’s Record Store Day releases will be available on April 20, 2013 at a record store near you.

Paul Weller Will Play The Isle Of Wight Festival This Year!

The legendary Isle of Wight Festival 2013 is shaping up to be one of the year's most exciting events with the addition of The Modfather himself Paul Weller. Joining the Main Stage line up on Friday 14th June for a special guest performance, he will appear before a UK festival exclusive, from headliners The Stone Roses. What's more I Am Kloot, Ke$ha, Kodaline, Devlin, Little Angels, Willy Mason, Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel, Lawson, Ian Hunter and The Gypsy Queens will also be making an appearance across the weekend.

Gracing the Main Stage on Friday 14th June before a headline performance from The Stone Roses will be the British institution that is Paul Weller. A pre-eminent songwriter of his generation, Paul Weller has attracted international success as frontman of The Jam and The Style Council, as well as his critically acclaimed solo career. Now the man himself will be making a special guest appearance at the Isle of Wight Festival 2013.

"These tunes remind of the days of 1977. I always loved rocksteady/reggae from my early suedehead days bit I got heavily into the sounds of the reggae of '77. Lee Perry's the key man in a lot of the production and sound from that time. Absolute Genius. He produced Junior Murvin and Max Romeo at the time. I still think Scratch & Bob Marley together created some of Bob's best music. These tunes were the sound of a revolution of a nation on the move. This was forward music, no step backwards. Straight on to Babylon."
