PAUL WELLER is relishing his shift at LIAM GALLAGHER's benefit show for Japan as he's got a strong connection to the country.
The former JAM frontman joins BEADY EYE, RICHARD ASHCROFT, PRIMAL SCREAM, GRAHAM COXON and THE CORAL for the April 3 show at London's Brixton O2 Academy.
He said: "I really wanted to do something to show solidarity and sympathy with the Japanese people. Japan is a place I've been to many times in the last 30 years.
"I've made many friends there and have been treated very well.
"They are a kind race. My heart goes out to them.
"The line-up is great for the show and it's gonna be a brilliant night."
