Revolutionary Reggae
Compiled by Paul Weller
Woking Man's Dub
"These tunes remind of the days of 1977. I always loved rocksteady/reggae from my early suedehead days bit I got heavily into the sounds of the reggae of '77. Lee Perry's the key man in a lot of the production and sound from that time. Absolute Genius. He produced Junior Murvin and Max Romeo at the time. I still think Scratch & Bob Marley together created some of Bob's best music. These tunes were the sound of a revolution of a nation on the move. This was forward music, no step backwards. Straight on to Babylon."
