Paul Weller To Play Bilbao BBK Festival In Spain!

The Modfather himself Paul Weller is amongst the latest acts to be confirmed to play Bilbao BBK.

Set in the Spanish countryside just a few miles from the coast, Bilbao BBK is one of Europe's most spectacular festivals. Rising in popularity with each passing year, this summer's event looks to be one of the finest yet.

With a number of star names already confirmed the organisers of Bilbao BBK have added more acts to the line up. The Spanish festival is set to boast a performance from Paul Weller, one of the most acclaimed songwriters in Britain.

Due to return with his outspoken new album 'Wake The Nation' later this year, the singer is on ferocious form following his BRIT Award triumph last year. Touring the nation, Paul Weller is now set to turn his sights on Bilbao BBK.

Joining him will be a double pairing of American rock royalty. Reformed metal icons Faith No More are set to play a set at the event, marking their return to a European festival after a gap of almost a decade.

Accompanying them will be Seattle legends Alice In Chains, celebrating the release of their new album. The two acts will complete a trio of American rock legends, with Pearl Jam already confirmed for the Spanish event.

Elsewhere on the bill fans can bask in the demented glory of Rammstein, Gogol Bordello, Slayer and many more.

Bilbao BBK is due to take place between July 8th - 10th.

Album Preview: Paul Weller Recruits Noel Gallagher, Thunderstorms to Share His “22 Dreams” “You get to this stage in life where you say ‘I’ve done everything that I can do,’” says Paul Weller. As he passes the half-century mark, Weller easily could have returned to his old stomping grounds, whether it was the mod-punk of his first band the Jam or the pop leanings of the Style Council. But rather than reliving past glory, Weller spent the last year recording 22 Dreams, the most expansive and experimental album of his career. “I was conscious when I walked into the studio that I wanted to do something different. I didn’t want to make As Is Now Part 2,” Weller tells Rock Daily. “There was this mentality where it was like, ‘Let’s try anything that comes into your mind.’” Weller sequestered himself in his country studio, recruited some famous Britpop friends like Oasis‘ Noel Gallagher and Blur’s Graham Coxon and spent hours improvising with his band. The result was 22 Dreams, a genre-leapin
