Fans of The Moons were treated to a Christmas surprise as Paul Weller himself took the stage last night in support at the world famous 100 Club in London . Paul played an acoustic set of new songs, old favourites and covers, with the crowd helping out with a sing-a-long  on the Martha & The Vandellas' Motown classic, "Heatwave." Paul Weller To Perform At Christmas Tree Sessions In London!

Paul Weller will perform at Save The Children's "Christmas Tree Sessions"  at Union Chapel in Islington, London this Thursday, 05 December. Former Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes, indie rock bands Lanterns On The Lake and The Moons, jazz and soul musician Will Heard and Modfather Paul Weller (who'll be performing a select number of his classic tracks).  This eclectic evening of live music and entertainment will again be curated and hosted by top presenter, music aficionado and BBC Radio 6 Music DJ Lauren Laverne. All proceeds will go to our Syria Crisis Appeal. The night will feature majestic numbers accompanied by the London Metropolitan Orchestra. You’ll also be treated to Christmas readings from writer and journalist Caitlin Moran, comedians Chris Addison, Dom Joly and Peter Serafinowicz. Paul Weller Wraps Up October UK Tour In London!

Paul Weller's October Tour ended at the Hammersmith Apollo in London Saturday night. Paul was joined on stage by two very special guests, his daughter Leah and the legendary Ronnie Wood of The Faces/Rolling Stones. Leah sang on the Rose Royce cover, "Wishing On A Star." Ronnie added some guitar to "Be Happy Children." Paul Weller At The Barrowland Ballroom In Glasgow!

Paul Weller opened up his October tour last night at The Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow, Scotland. He played a 25 song set similar to the one played on the US Tour. New(ish) songs added to the set were "Bull Rush," "Andromeda" and "Push It Along." Although listed on the printed set list, we have reports that he did not play "He's The Keeper" nor "Out Of The Sinking." Cheers to Ann Kerr for the above image! Just in time for the holiday shopping season, this limited edition 8 piece Vinyl Box Set features all 6 Studio albums on Heavyweight Vinyl, plus 2 brand new discs of non-album tracks and B-Sides.  Also included is a 44 page hardback book with new liner notes by John Harris (Guardian/Mojo ) and an introduction by Paul Weller , featuring period photos and memorabilia. Dee C. Lee's 1985 Solo Album Gets The Deluxe Treatment!

Dee C. Lee's 1985 solo album, "Shrine" gets the deluxe treatment with a UK release date of October 28th. Ms. Lee enjoyed a prolific solo career in the mid-1980s in parallel to her role as a vocalist in The Style Council. Dee enjoyed huge success with the 60s-styled ballad, "See The Day," which reached No. 3 in late 1985. The package also includes her minor hit, "Come Hell Or Waters High." Style Council/Paul Weller fans will enjoy the CD debut for Dee's beautiful performance of "The Paris Match" (credited to The Council Quartet and featuring Weller) and the live version of "Luck" (which again boasted performances from Style Council members). Kristyna Myles To Release A Cover Of The Style Council's, "The Paris Match!"

The brand new single, The Paris Match by Kristyna Myles  is  released 9th September  and marks the 30th anniversary of its original release by legendary band, The Style Council . We got a little preview here at PWNews and can most certainly say, it's a lovely version. The Manchester songstress was delighted to be granted permission from Paul Weller, who penned the track, to record her own version. Described as “absolutely stunning” by the Modfather himself, the 2013 remake is co produced by drummer Steve White (Style Council) and Mercury Prize nominated Manchester producer Andy Ross , and features Damon Minchella (Ocean Colour Scene) on bass. Paul Weller Wraps Up US Tour In Washington DC & Philadelphia!

Paul Weller wrapped up his brief tour of the East Coast of the United States with concerts at the legendary Washington DC venue, the 9:30 Club and Union Transfer in Philadelphia . Paul played a set consisting of quite a few Jam classics and heavy on tunes from his latest LP, Sonik Kicks . As always, Paul was well received by his die-hard fans in the States and was generous in signing autographs and posing for pictures. Thanks to all that provided the images and vids for this update!
